About the show: Peter Frampton toured in 2011, the 40th anniversary performance of Frampton Comes Alive! that the Montreal Gazette described as “a highly-spirited and expertly-played recreation of the live album.” Frampton’s 2013 “Guitar Circus” tour with special guest Sonny Landreth will also perform other highlights from his catalog, including his Grammy® Award-winning instrumental album, 2006’s Fingerprints. Of the tour the Los Angeles Times says “…the British virtuoso is still making sweet music” while the Santa Barbara Independent describes Frampton’s set as “pleasing those who came to hear the hits and impressing the musicians in the crowd with his still-smoking guitar chops.” Frampton remains one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. At 16, he was lead singer and guitarist for British teen band the Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first super groups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. His fifth solo album, the electrifying Frampton Comes Alive!, is one of the top-selling live records of all time.
Summer Concerts at Simsbury Meadows is an outdoor venue so be prepared for entertainment under the stars. Many fine food and beverage vendors will be on site for your al fresco dining enjoyment. This event will take place rain or shine.
